CHONGQING, Nov.27 (Xinhua) -- Parcels from Germany traveling more than 10,000 kilometers arrived in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality on Monday. The delivery marked the first large-scale successful import test of mail delivery via the China-Europe railway system.
Gao Hongtao, deputy director of general office in State Post Bureau said delivering international mails via the China-Europe cargo trains is good for infrastructure connectivity, trade flowing, and strengthening the cooperation of mail business between China and countries along the Belt and Road routes.
Since November, 2017, Chongqing has launched outward regular postal service linking other countries. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
