BEIJING, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Alashankou Customs has set up special service windows for China-Europe freight trains to improve the efficiency of the trains' customs clearance.
After the establishment, customs clearance time of China-Europe freight cargos has been cut to minimum of 20 minutes, one third faster than before.
Alashankou Customs has taken measures to compress the clearance time of China-Europe freight trains. In the first three quarters of this year, the total customs clearance time for imported goods in Alashankou Port was 35.6 hours, which was 29.4 percent lower than that of 2017.
Data shows that in the first 10 months of this year, Alashankou Customs supervised 2,105 trips of China-Europe freight trains carrying about 1.14 million metric tons (tonnes) of goods, up 32.66 percent and 50.48 percent, respectively.
