BEIJING, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- China has offered loans in the amount of 7.16 billion U.S. dollars to Pakistan for the projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), according to the website of China's Ministry of Commerce, quoting the Pakistani media.
At present, China has actually granted loans of 3.52 billion U.S. dollars to Pakistan for these projects, said the media.
According to the report, China has additionally provided 331 million U.S. dollars free aid to Pakistan for the CPEC projects.
The report said that at a bilateral working meeting held last week, the two sides agreed to accelerate the implementation of capital expenditure in projects as soon as possible.
The 8th meeting of Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be held in the first week of December, as learned from CPEC Coordinator Hassan Daud Butt. (Edited by Li Wenxin, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
