BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Xiaomi Corporation (01810.HK), one of China's major mobile Internet companies, Monday reported a 49.1 percent year on year rise in its third-quarter revenue, which was 50.85 billion yuan (about 7.33 billion U.S. dollars), higher than the market estimate of 50.36 billion yuan.
According to its third-quarter earnings report, Xiaomi's international business, Internet of Things (IOT) and consumer goods, and Internet services are growing rapidly in the third quarter, by 112.7 percent, 89.8 percent, and 85.5 percent year on year respectively.
It is worth noting that the company's revenue in the international market reached 22.3 billion yuan, accounting for 43.9 percent of its total revenue during the same period.
Xiaomi's smartphone business showed strong growth in the third quarter, as the income from smartphone sales jumped 36.1 percent to 35 billion yuan. As of October 26, the annual shipments of Xiaomi’s smartphones exceeded 100 million units, officially entering the 100 million club.
In the third quarter, Xiaomi's smartphone shipments increased by 386 percent in the western European market, ranking fourth in the region. Its volume of shipments maintained first in Indian market and ranked second in Indonesia. (Edited by Li Wenxin, Yang Qi, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
