BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's telecom total revenue stood at 1,094.8 billion yuan from January to October, up 2.7 percent year on year, the slowest growth in two years, according to the data released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Monday.
During the same period, the industry's business volume was 5,595.9 billion yuan, up 139.8 percent year on year.
As of the end of October, the total number of mobile broadband users reached 1.3 billion, accounting for 83.8 percent of mobile phone users, while the total number of fixed broadband users reached 400 million.
Data also show that in the first ten months, the accumulative traffic of mobile Internet was 54.4 billion GB, up 198.4 percent year on year, of which 98.6 percent was via mobile phones. (Edited by Li Wenxin, Yang Qi, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
