Beijing -- AliCloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, will use its cloud technologies applied in this year's Singles Day online shopping gala to help more young entrepreneurs, said its top executive recently.
Hu Xiaoming, president of AliCloud, noted that the cloud platform has played an important role in supporting the grand online shopping festival, which peaked at 325,000 transactions per second during last year's event.
"AliCloud will open related technologies and experience to society to help more entrepreneurship and innovation over the next six to 12 months," he said at the fifth World Internet Conference, in Wuzhen, China's east Zhejiang province, which ended on Nov 9.
At the conference, supET, an industrial internet platform led by AliCloud, was also awarded as a leading internet achievement.
"Being an initiator of supET, we hope to provide manufacturing industry with one-stop smart digital services. We aim to build an industrial internet ecology that is inclusive, win-win, open and collaborative," said Hu.
A total of 30 industrial-level platforms and over 100,000 industrial apps will be on supET by 2025.
By then, it will also link 200 million appliances and will serve for 300,000 industrial companies.
