BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Wenzhou, major city of East China’s Zhejiang province has released a plan on promoting the city’s digital economy development during the period of 2018-2022, www.wenzhou.gov.cn reported.
The plan targeted that the total added-value of Wenzhou’s digital economy will reach 380 billion yuan by 2022, with average annual growth rate at more than 15 percent, doubling that of 2017. The added value of digital economy in the city will account for 50 percent of its GDP.
Meanwhile, the city plans to set up 2 or 3 industrial bases of blockchain by 2022, so as to strengthen digital industrialization of blockchain technology.
According to the plan, the city aims to build a demonstration zone for the digital transformation and development of traditional industry in China and a demonstration zone for the innovation and development of digital industry, a digital financial development center, and a comprehensive service center for the intelligent logistics industry.
The plan also specified that the city would cultivate the emerging industries from 2018 to 2022, such as telecommunication satellite, internet of things, integrated circuits(IC), industrial internet, big data, and blockchain, promote the digital upgrading of the manufacturing industry, optimize the digital trade service, and boost the digital financial innovation and intelligent logistics development.
