BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Northwest Regional Administration Thursday granted a license to China's e-commerce giant JD.com to allow its drone deliveries in northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
The license was issued to a subsidiary of JD.com Group in Xi'an, making it the world's first enterprise getting permission for the drone deliveries in a province.
In February, the CAAC approved JD's experimental drone deliveries in a pilot zone in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province. (Edited by Wu Shuang, wushuag2018@xinhua.org)
