BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- China and Montenegro will deepen cooperation in the construction of science and technology parks, as learned from the 3rd regular meeting of the China-Montenegro Committee on Intergovernmental Science and Technology Cooperation, held recently in Podgorica.
Chinese Vice Minister of Science and Technology Zhang Jianguo and Secretary General of the Ministry of Science of Montenegro Smiljana Prelević co-chaired this meeting.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed to work together in the construction of science and technology parks and approved a new project plan to enhance bilateral intergovernmental science and technology exchange in several domains, including agriculture, geology, information and communication technology and chemistry.
Zhang believed that the prospects for Sino-Montenegro cooperation will become broader, as the Belt and Road Initiative and the cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries going forward.
The two sides decided to hold the 4th regular meeting of the China-Montenegro Committee on Intergovernmental Science and Technology Cooperation in China in 2020. (Edited by Li Wenxin, Yang Qi, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
