BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- China’s Hebei Province recently issued the implementation opinion on promoting traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on the Belt and Road, proposing to establish one or two TCM international cooperation platforms, one or two overseas health care centers and two to four international cooperation bases by 2022.
The province will register a batch of Chinese medicine products and health care products overseas, and built one or two regional Chinese medicine medical centers with international standards, two or three national-level TCM health tourism demonstration zones and a number of national demonstration bases and demonstration projects.
According to the implementation opinion, Hebei Province will expand the scope of TCM international cooperation, actively explore overseas TCM service model, and promote exchanges of TCM scientific research, education, trade, service and culture in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
The province will carry out remote TCM education, remote diagnosis and treatment services, international consultation health care and certification services, and try to attract people in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road to Hebei to seek medical treatment.
The implementation opinion also proposes that it will make full use of Hebei's high-quality Chinese medicine education resources and cooperate with well-known universities along the routes to organize TCM training program, support Hebei medicine enterprises such as Yiling Pharmaceutical and Shineway Pharmaceutical to actively explore the international market and optimize the "Internet + Chinese medicine" service.
