BEIJING, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- East China's Anhui Province saw its foreign trade with the Belt and Road countries increase 5 percent year on year to 72.29 billion yuan (about 10.39 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters of the year, according to local customs.
Its imports from the B&R countries grew 4.8 percent to 17.58 billion yuan, accounting for 13.3 percent of Anhui's total imports, while its exports to these countries rose 5.1 percent to 54.71 billion yuan, accounting for 31.5 percent of the province's total exports, Hefei Customs said.
In terms of its major trade partners, the province saw trade with India rise 10.7 percent to 9.88 billion yuan, trade with Vietnam and Malaysia down 12.5 percent and 9.3 percent to 6.79 billion yuan and 5.8 billion yuan, respectively.
In terms of major exported products, Anhui exported 32.47 billion yuan worth of mechanical and electrical products to the Belt and Road countries, accounting for 59.3 percent of the province's total exports. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
