BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- The foreign trade between Northwest China's Gansu Province and countries along the Belt and Road routes amounted to 12.28 billion yuan in the first three quarters of the year, an increase of 27.2 percent year on year, according to Lanzhou Customs.
To be specific, Gansu's trade volume with Kazakhstan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the European Union, Mongolia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the first nine months of this year were 5.79 billion yuan, 3.56 billion yuan, 3.26 billion yuan, 2.44 billion yuan and 2.13 billion yuan, up 23.9 percent, 190 percent, 75.2 percent, 33.6 percent and 24.6 percent, respectively.
Statistics also showed that the total imports and exports of Gansu from January to September grew 35.2 percent on year to 29.95 billion yuan, 25.3 percentage points higher than the national import and export growth rate over the same period. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
