BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chongqing Liangjiang New Area's Digital Economy Industrial Park has attracted 49.2 billion yuan (about 7 billion U.S. dollars) of investment and over 3,300 enterprises, according to the administration committee of the park.
The planning area of Liangjiang Digital Economy Industrial Park is 50 square kilometers. The first phase of the park has been operating normally, and the construction of the second phase was completed at the end of 2017.
The industrial park is now home to more than 200 innovative enterprises and has incubated more than 140 micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises. Up to now, its annual output value has exceeded 10 billion yuan, and the figure is expected to exceed 20 billion yuan by 2020.
Recently, the Boduan crowd innovation space was opened in Liangjiang Digital Economy Industrial Park, which is the first Internet of Things (IoT) park in Chongqing, and more than 10 IoT-related companies have settled in the space.
Moreover, several large tech companies in China, including Tencent, have also established innovation centers in the industrial park.
The second phase of the park focuses more on industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data and IoT. It has already attracted 26 companies and is expected to achieve an annual output value of 30 billion yuan by 2020. (Edited by Li Wenxin, Yang Qi, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
