BEIJING, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- The year of 2018 is an extraordinary year for China’s commercial aerospace industry, with civil aerospace corporations having completed five launch missions as of the end of October, according to Wu Yirong, head of the Aerospace Information Research Center under China’s Academy of Sciences (CAS)
Speaking at the Global Hard & Core Technology Innovation and the Belt and Road Innovative Cooperation Conference 2018 held in Xi’an, northwest China’s Shaanxi province, Wu noted that commercial aerospace industry now involves various of sectors and private enterprises have set foot in some of them such as rockets, satellites, measurement and control and remote sensing.
Our target customers used to be state owned aerospace enterprises, and now some private companies become important clients as well, according to Li Guangsheng, CEO with TSC Laser Technology Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Applying metal 3D printing technology, TSC helped many clients reduce commercial aerospace business cost, Li said.
With the growth of private rocket carriers and sounding rocket companies, relevant upstream and downstream industries have also begun to map themselves out around commercial aerospace business.
