BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed cooperation agreement with China's tech giant Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. to accelerate the building of smart city during the 3rd China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Conference on Innovation Cooperation held in Sarajevo from November 5 to 7.
Under the agreement, Huawei will provide technical support to the smart city and safe city projects of Bosnia and Herzegovina, aiming to build an efficient information and communication system and improve the quality of life of citizens.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital city Sarajevo signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei on the same day, under which the city will benefit from Huawei's ability to implement comprehensive supervision projects, intelligent management systems, public safety systems and intelligent traffic control systems, etc.
The 3rd China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Conference on Innovation Cooperation regrouped 400 representatives of governments, enterprises and research institutions from China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries. (Edited by Li Wenxin, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
