The Northeast Asian International Logistics Port, a project under PPP mode in the Changchun New Area, is under construction by China Railway Group Limited (CREC). Also known as "new-type urbanization project in the Changchun New Area", this project features four phases with a total investment estimated at 20.2 billion yuan, each phase having a 15-year concession period, including 4 years of construction and 11 years of operation.
To accelerate the project progress, CREC has been making technological innovations, including applying VR and other advanced technologies during construction to ensure work safety. It has completed 3,976 pile foundations, 414 cushion caps, 317 pier studs, 19 cast-in-situ beams, 1,308,990 cubic meters of sub-grade earthwork, 33,720 linear meters of cement mixing piles and 1,700 meters of box culverts.
In addition to providing huge financial support to the logistics port project, CERC has been actively engaged in key livelihood improvement projects, including its engagement in transportation and municipal engineering works across Jilin Province. In recent three years, CERC has undertaken an array of projects worth of 50 billion yuan or so, making positive contributions to the economic and social development of the province. Moreover, CERC has concluded strategic cooperation agreements and forged long-term partnerships with Changchun Municipal People's Government and Jilin Municipal People's Government.
