BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- About 180,000 charging piles for electric vehicles will be built in central China's Hunan Province by the end of 2020, according to a local newspaper on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, an alliance for electric vehicle charging infrastructure promotion was established in Hunan, aiming to promote the construction of charging facilities, build unified charging facility service platform in the province, and achieve the interconnection of the charging facilities.
According to Hunan Daily, there are less than 20,000 charging piles for the electric vehicles in the province, at present. An electric vehicle charging infrastructure plan of the province estimates that by 2020, the number of electric vehicles in Hunan Province will increase to 220,000, showing the huge demands for the charging piles.
