BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- China's wind power generation increased 26 percent year on year to 267.6 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in the first nine months of 2018, according to China's National Energy Administration (NEA).
As of the end of September, China's on-grid wind power capacity totaled 176 million kilowatts, with 12.61 million kilowatts newly added in the first three quarters.
The average utilization hours reached 1,565 hours in the first nine months, an increase of 178 hours compared with same period of last year.
The wind power waste due to power rationing was 22.2 billion kWh, a decrease of 7.4 billion kWh from the same period last year. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
