BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- The Belt and Road International Cooperation City Credit Alliance was recently established in Jinan city of China's Shandong Province, to enhance credit cooperation, improve business environment and promote trade and investment among B&R countries.
The alliance was jointly unveiled by the International Cooperation Center and the National Public Credit Information Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Jinan municipal government and relative cities at home and abroad.
Initial members of the alliance include 35 cities of seven countries, which are China, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia, Thailand, and Myanmar.
Government bodies, market institutions and international organizations along the B&R routes will share credit information, discuss credit-related legal systems, establish joint reward and punishment mechanism and strengthen cross-border cooperation of credit service agencies, in order to facilitate the construction of B&R credit system, according to Zhou Min, director of the National Public Credit Information Center.
Credit construction is an indispensable part in preventing the risks of investment and enhancing trust and cooperation among B&R countries, commented Cong Liang, secretary general of the NDRC. (Edited by Li Wenxin, Yang Qi, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
