Abstract : Methanol-fueled vehicles be promoted in the regions with suitable conditions, such as Shanxi, Shaanxi, Guizhou and Gansu provinces, suggested by Yang Tiesheng, an official of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Methanol-fueled vehicles are suggested to be promoted in the regions with suitable conditions, such as Shanxi, Shaanxi, Guizhou and Gansu provinces, suggested by Yang Tiesheng, an official of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) at a recent forum in Kunshan City, east China’s Jiangsu Province.

Yang said that promoting the development of methanol-fueled vehicles is of great significance to the diversified development of vehicle fuels, atmospheric pollutant emissions reduction, and national energy security.

At the forum, vehicle manufacturers like Geely, FAW, BAIC and Shaanxi Automobile displayed their methanol-fueled vehicles. (Edited by Wu Shuang, wushuang2018@xinhua.org)
