BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, released a plan on October 26 to fully promote healthy city construction.
According to the plan, the city's average life expectancy is likely to reach 83.5 years old by 2035.
Besides, five projects will be implemented coordinately involving health literacy improvement, medical care quality improvement, synergy of medical insurance and medicine, urban and rural environmental remediation as well as biological industry.
The plan also sets over a hundred “small goals” which are closely related to people's sense of fulfillment. Total scale of the city's health industry is expected to exceed 450 billion yuan by 2035. (Edited by Gu Shanshan, Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
