EIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited (CNAF), the largest state-owned aviation fuel supplier in China, officially opened its northern aviation fuel storage and transportation base in Nanjiang Port Area of north China's Tianjin Municipality on Thursday, according to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).
It is China's largest aviation fuel storage and transportation base.
In the first phase of the project, 370,000 cubic meters of storage tanks were built, covering an area of about 323 mu (21.53 hectares). In the second phase, 630,000 cubic meters of storage tanks will be built, which will cover an area of 127 mu (8.47 hectares) and can store as much as one million cubic meters of fuel.
The operation of the base is of great significance to improve the fuel support ability of the Beijing Daxing International Airport and complete the aviation fuel supply system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. (Edited by Gu Shanshan, Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
