BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- About 60 percent of the 636 exhibitors at the on-going 124th Canton Fair imports exhibition come from countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
Canton Fair, China's largest trade fair, provides a good platform for products of countries along the Belt and Road routes to tap the Chinese market and even explore the global market.
A Turkish company named Group which mainly produces small household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, electric irons, juicers, etc., has participated in the Canton Fair imports exhibition for ten consecutive years.
Its export volume reached 10 million U.S. dollars last year and most of the export deals were concluded with the buyers it knew at the Canton Fair, said Yasin Saikaya, head of the Turkish company.
Since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed in 2013, the Canton Fair has actively promoted economic and trade exchanges between China and relevant countries. It has attracted nearly 3,200 enterprises from 35 countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes to participate in the exhibitions.
