BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Beijing will build a series of science and technology parks in the key cities along the Belt and Road to create "Zhongguancun Science Parks" on the routes, according to Beijing's three-year action plan (2018-2020) of supporting the Belt and Road Initiative released recently.
At present, Zhongguancun, also known as China's Silicon Valley, gathers nearly 30 percent of the national-level laboratories and a large number of China's innovative enterprises, according to Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform.
In the future, Beijing will also cooperate with science parks, jointly establish laboratories, enhance technology transfer and technology exchanges and form a network based on the city's major science parks to promote innovation cooperation along the Belt and Road.
