BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Beijing and Hong Kong will boost cooperation in fields such as real-name financial account opening and the real-name e-commerce contracts to promote cross-border financial connectivity development between the two cities.
A framework agreement on financial innovation connectivity cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong was signed at the 22nd Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium in Beijing on Wednesday.
The Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium has been held annually since 1997 and the two cities alternate to host the symposium and has been an important bridge for communication and cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong.
Data shows that as of September 2018, Hong Kong has established a total of 15,687 investment enterprises in Beijing, with an actual investment of 79.58 billion U.S. dollars, while the cumulative direct investment of Beijing enterprises in Hong Kong is 28.812 billion U.S. dollars.
