BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Industrial Bank Co., Ltd, a commercial bank in China will provide green financing of more than 1 trillion yuan covering some 10,000 clients by 2020, said Tao Yiping, president of the bank at a green finance forum in Beijing on Tuesday.
Tao said that the projects receiving financing support from the bank can save 29.59 million metric tons (tonnes) of standard coal, reduce the carbon dioxide emission by about 83.99 million tonnes, and save about 409.23 tonnes of water annually.
By the end of September 2018, the bank had provided more than 1.6 trillon yuan green financing for more than 16,000 enterprises, with the financing balance exceeding 800 billion yuan, mentioned Tao.
