BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua)–Chinese telecom giant China Unicom (60050.SH) expects its net profits in the first three quarters of 2018 to surge 164.5 percent year on year to 3.47 billion yuan, according to a company statement released on Monday.
The company’s total profits in the period are estimated at about 10.546 billion yuan.
After deducting incidental losses resulting from asset retirement, the company expects its net profits in the period to be about 4.46 billion yuan, an increase of 179.9 percent.
China Unicom, one of China's three state-owned telecommunications carriers, is the world's fourth-largest mobile service provider by subscriber base.
