BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- China's ecological industry eyes new opportunities as the State Council, the country's cabinet, has approved Hanjiang and Huaihe eco-economic belt development plans on Thursday, reported Securities Daily.
Both plans aim to improve ecological environment and push forward green development.
East China's Huaihe River basin and central China's Hanjiang River basin are two core areas with a large population and the developed economy. New development plans will promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structures in the areas, and help integrate industrial development and environmental protection, noted Shen Meng, executive director of Chanson Capital.
Shen also pointed out that the approval of the two plans may bring new investment opportunities for listed ecological companies, which can achieve further transformation and upgrading, driven by favorable policies. (Edited by Gu Shanshan, Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
