BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- East China's Shanghai mulls the 4.0 version construction plan for China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), in order to better serve the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative, said Wu Daqi, counselor of the Counselors' Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, quoted by the Shanghai Securities News.
The constructions of Shanghai FTZ and the B&R Initiative are connected with consistent development directions. Hence, the 4.0 version will put more emphasis on implementing the B&R Initiative, noted Wu.
To serve the B&R, Shanghai should strengthen efforts in promoting investment facilitation, financial openness, technological innovation and cultural exchange through accelerating trade and economic development, financial service, infrastructure construction, talent exchange, and cooperation with multinational companies, Wu said.
