BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- South China's Hainan Province has recently formulated a three-year action plan for poverty alleviation through e-commerce.
According to the plan for 2018-2020 period, Hainan will establish and improve the e-commerce public service system in poverty-stricken areas, and strive to bring annual sales of the agricultural products in the province's poverty-stricken areas via the e-commerce platforms to more than 100 million yuan during the period.
Hainan will broaden the sales channels of the agricultural products in the poverty-stricken areas and encourage cities and counties to open local specialty pavilions on mainstream e-commerce platforms, said the plan. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
