BEIJING, Oct.15 (Xinhua) – The passenger capacity of China’s civil aviation industry along the Belt and Road air routes has exceeded 100 million in the past five years, according to Zhang Qing, an official from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) at a recent press conference about China’s aviation industry.
China’s civil aviation passenger capacity saw an increase of 11.6 percent to 457 million in the first three quarters of 2018, while the total air transport turnover reached 89.59 billion tonne-km during the period, up 12.3 percent year on year, according to Zhang.
It is noted that China’s civil aviation passenger capacity in September achieved 502.88 million, up 7.9 percent year on year, while the growth of the passenger capacity in domestic and international air routes was 7.6 percent and 10.5 percent, respectively. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Hu Pingchao)
