BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- China Unicom (Vietnam) Operations Company under Chinese telecom giant China Unicom was set up in Hanoi, Vietnam on Tuesday, becoming the 12th branch of China Unicom along Belt and Road routes.
After its establishment, China Unicom (Vietnam) Operations Company will collaborate closely with the Vietnamese telecom carriers and information service providers to provide both basic and value-add services to companies of the two countries, according to Chen Shuxiong, executive vice president and CFO of China Unicom Global Limited.
China Unicom has so far participated in construction of 20 land cables and 30 submarine routes across the world, and deployed more than 110 PoP ends in 70 countries and regions around the world. (Edited by Wu Shuang, wushuang2018@xinhua.org)
