BEIJING, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- The trade volume between China and Turkmenistan in 2017 amounted to 6.94 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.6 percent year on year, according to the Chinese ambassador to Turkmenistan Sun Weidong at a recent reception.
China has become the largest trading partner of Turkmenistan for seven consecutive years. More than 215 billion cubic meters of natural gas were exported from Turkmenistan to China through pipelines last year, said Sun. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
