BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Construction started on the LONGi Tongchuan PV Top Runner base project of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. on Wednesday in Yijun county, Tongchuan city of northwest China's Shaanxi province.
The PV Top Runner base in Tongchuan would adopt LONGi's latest mono-crystalline P-type PERC laminated double-sided component technology as well as industry leading system solutions such as double-sided dedicated inverters and flat single-axis tracking brackets to provide demonstration and help advance PV power technology progress and market utilization.
As the world's largest mono-crystalline silicon PV product manufacturer and a full-chain PV company, LONGi has been dedicating itself to mono-crystalline technology development and scale utilization as well as system solution improvement for 18 years, said LONGi Chairman Zhong Baoshen.
By joining forces with China Three Gorges New Energy Co., Ltd, LONGi plans to build the Tongchuan PV base into a high-tech compound demonstrative project that integrates PV power generation, ecological agriculture, poverty alleviation and tourism. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
