BEIJING, Sept.26 (Xinhua) -- The 6th China Luzhou Southwest Commodity Expo will be held in Luzhou city of southwest China’s Sichuan province from September 28 to October 1, according to Luzhou municipal government.
Themed on New Era, New Trade, and New Luzhou, the expo is hosted by China General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) and organized by government of Luzhou City with support from Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs.
The expo will have Southwest Trading Center of China as its main exhibition venue and “One Belt and One Road National Pavilion” in South Sichuan Port Area (SSPA) of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) as a sub-venue.
The expo marks a new move of Luzhou’s active participation in the country’s Belt and Road construction as well as Yangtze River Economic Belt Development, and highlights the characteristic of SSPA with its synergistic inland, coastal, border, and riverside opening-up.
The expo will have its opening ceremony in Southwest Trading Center of China on September 28, with CGCC President Jiang Ming, officials with Provincial Department of Commerce and Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs, as well as Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to China and deputy minister of economy of Moldova on presence.
Following the opening ceremony, “One Belt and One Road National Pavilion” of the SSPA, investment forum and business promotion conference, cultural exchanges activities will be launched in succession. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
