BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- China Shanghai Museum and the Central Cultural Foundation (CCF) of Sri Lanka recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Colombo to deepen archaeological cooperation.
According to the MOU, both parties will cooperate in the fields of archaeological excavations and research, communications, preservation of cultural relics, scientific and technological analysis, museum exhibitions and education.
It is noted that an archaeological team from Shanghai Museum arrived in Sri Lanka this August for a month-long joint archaeological excavation, with the two parties expected to publish relevant research results in the future, according to Yang Zhigang, head of Shanghai Museum.
