BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- The government of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Tuesday signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Telecom on digital construction, according to Shanghai Securities News.
Under the agreement, China Telecom, one of China’s top three telecommunication operators, will invest more than 20 billion yuan in Guangxi in the following five years on new generation of information and communication technology development such as cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.
What's worth noting is that China telecom and Guangxi will jointly build a platform for international cooperation in the digital economy with focus on construction of the China Telecom ASEAN international information park, and speed up Guangxi's layout in cloud service and transformation toward cloud development, aiming to build Guangxi into a digital information network hub for ASEAN.
