ZHENGZHOU, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- China's YTO Airlines on Monday opened a direct air cargo route linking Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, and Tokyo.
This is the first all-freighter route between Tokyo and Zhengzhou, a major transportation and logistics junction in China, according to YTO Airlines.
The service will be operated by a B757 cargo aircraft running five round-trips weekly.
Air cargo from Japan will be distributed to neighboring provinces and cities after arriving at Zhengzhou.
YTO Airlines is the aviation branch of the major express delivery company YTO Express, which has 82 logistics distribution centers nationwide and business extending to 150 countries and regions worldwide.
To date, the airline has a fleet of 11 cargo aircraft and the figure is expected to reach 25 by 2020.
