HOHHOT, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) --- Inner Mongolia lately saw the launching of a new China-Europe freight train route linking to Iran.
The train left Sharing Logistics Park in Inner Mongolia Horinger New Area on September 4, carrying 41 standard containers, and will arrive in Bam, a city in southeast Iran in 15 days.
The launching of this line can effectively facilitate enterprises in Inner Mongolia to carry out import and export operation, according to the staff from Hohhot Railway Bureau.
By Aug. 26, 2018, China had dispatched a total of 10,000 China-Europe freight trains, covering 50 cities in China and reaching 40 cities of 14 countries along Belt and Road routes.
Statistics show that a total of 77 outbound trains, loaded with 4,545 standard containers departed from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region in the first half of 2018, up 305.3 percent and 158.8 percent year on year, respectively. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Niu Huizhe)
