BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The foreign investment introduction conference held by South China's Hainan Province in Beijing saw contracting of 26 foreign-funded projects on Thursday.
All these projects will be implemented in Hainan Province, indicating that the foreign enterprises are optimistic about Hainan and will actively participate in construction of Hainan as a pilot free trade zone and a free trade port.
According to Hainan Daily, the British Harrow School will cooperate with Hainan's local institutions to open a school in Haikou, capital city of Hainan Province and a batch of theme parks will be built in Hainan.
Hainan is expected to witness big development in fields such as tourism and environmental protection, agriculture, medical health, exhibitions and logistics, thanks to the foreign investment in the future, said the report. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
