BEIJING, Aug.31 (Xinhua) --- The Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank) has stepped up efforts to expand its business to 45 African countries by the end of June this year and financed a number of projects in multiple fields, covering transportation, electricity, manufacturing, information, education, health, etc., Xie Ping, deputy governor of the bank, introduced on Thursday.
China Exim Bank actively conducted business in African countries under the framework of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation, including the Belt and Road Initiative, 10 major China-Africa cooperation plans as well as the “three networks and industrialization” plan, and at the same time, the bank focused on increasing its financing support for infrastructure construction in Africa, Xie added.
In the process of financing, the bank assisted African countries in selecting projects and designing plans based on their development stages, realistic conditions and demands in a bid to help them to break the development bottleneck through key project construction.
