BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Xiongan New Area in China's Hebei Province will ensure clean energy supply for all energy consumption in the future, according to Guo Zhi, chief economist of the National Energy Administration, quoted by Xinhua-run cnstock.com on Monday.
Guo made the remarks at a clean energy heating summit held in Xiongan from August 25 to 26.
The Xiongan New Area will scientifically use geothermal resources, coordinate the supply of energy sources including natural gas, electricity, geothermal, and biomass, and form a multi-energy complementary heating system, proposed by Xie Qiuye, president of the Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI).
The National Energy Administration will fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the local governments to promote remarkable results of the clean heating in Beijing, Tianjin and surrounding areas. In the next step, it will speed up the construction of the natural gas production, supply and marketing system, constantly improve the natural gas supply capacity, and ensure the clean heating in the northern region in winter, according to the summit.
