CHONGQING, Aug.27 (Xinhua) --- Changan Automobile will invest 10.2 billion yuan to build a new energy vehicle (NEV) industrial park in southwest China’s Chongqing municipality in an attempt to establish a complete NEV industrial chain.
After the completion of the industrial park, it was expected to produce no less than 500,000 sets of core NEV parts and components annually, with output value of over 40 billion yuan .
Centering Changan Automobile, the park will form a strategic alliance with local governments, social capital, vehicle manufacturers, research institutions, and core suppliers, and build a new energy and intelligent manufacturing demonstration base in Chongqing.
