NANNING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangdong-Guangxi Interprovincial Pilot Cooperation Special Zone completed the fixed asset investment of 6.057 billion yuan in the first seven months of the year, up 16.5 percent year on year.
So far, 346 key enterprises have entered the pilot zone which were mainly engaged in the fields of the electronic information, energy conservation and environmental protection and high-end equipment manufacturing.
The pilot zone is built jointly by Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with a planned area of 140 square kilometers.
It is reported that the pilot zone comprises the main zone and the development zones. With the boundary between the cities of Wuzhou and Zhaoqing as its central axis, the main zone covers a total area of 100 square kilometers and spans both banks of the Xijiang River.
