BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- The foreign trade volume between North China's Hebei Province and the countries along the Belt and Road reached 57.96 billion yuan from January to July 2018, a year-on-year increase of 3.8 percent and accounting for 29.4 percent of Hebei’s total foreign trade volume, according to the statistics released by local Customs.
Among them, the export volume was 46.71 billion yuan, up 0.5 percent year on year; and the import volume was 11.25 billion yuan, up 20.1 percent.
By trade mode, the general trade volume reached 53.27 billion yuan, up 3.7 percent and accounting for 91.9 percent of the total foreign trade volume between Hebei and countries along the Belt and Road; and the processing trade volume reached 2.33 billion yuan, down 17.5 percent.
By country, the foreign trade volume between Hebei and Russia ranked first, with a total amount of 10.46 billion yuan, down 5.6 percent.
And by product, the export volume of hi-tech products reached 3.54 billion yuan, with a rapid increase of 95.2 percent. (Edited by Bao Nuomin and Tong Wei, tongwei@xinhua.org)
