BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- China’s listed companies conducted altogether 2,047 mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the first half year, with trade value at 1.15 trillion yuan, up 40.5 percent year on year, Chang Depeng, spokesman with China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) said last Friday.
Chang said that 90 percent of the M&As don't need review by CSRC at present, which stimulated the vitality of the secondary market.
Meanwhile, the CSRC is making efforts to improve the efficiency of reviewing process, and lead the M&A projects with high-quality of listed companies as a guide to promote the healthy development of the capital market. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
