BEIJING, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- China Energy Engineering Group’s Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. (TEPC) recently received the notice form Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. of acceptance of its bid for the 160 MW power station project in Pancevo, Serbia.
The project is another power station project carried out by the TEPC following the Stanari project in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Central and Eastern Europe, which will further enhance the brand influence of the bidder in high-end market in Europe.
It is learned that the Pancevo combined cycle power plant project was jointly invested by Russian energy giant Gazprom and Serbian oil firm NIS. The combined-cycle gas turbine unit is built to provide power for a refining project, which is the current key energy project in Serbia.
The project is fully built with European standards. In addition to meeting electricity demand to the refinery, the remaining electricity will be put into the market to meet the electricity needs of the country's residents. (Edited by Yang Qi, kateqiyang@xinhua.org)
