BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- East China's Shandong Province saw its foreign trade with the countries along the Belt and Road routes total 42.8 billion yuan in July, up 17.8 percent year on year, hitting a monthly record high since this year, according to the local customs.
To be specific, its exports to the countries along the Belt and Road amounted to 25.02 billion yuan in the month, an increase of 17.7 percent year on year, while its imports from those countries stood at 17.78 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9 percent year on year.
Among the countries along the routes, ASEAN was the largest trade partner of Shandong Province in July, with foreign trade at 17.81 billion yuan, up 8 percent year on year.
According to the statistics, the Province saw its foreign trade with the countries along the Belt and Road routes total 274.19 billion yuan in the first seven month of this year. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
