BEIJING, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will accelerate the program of the "Internet + advanced manufacturing" and promote development of the industrial Internet, according to a guideline recently released by the local authority.
According to the guideline, by 2020, Ningxia will basically build an industrial Internet network, and introduce the cloud computing services to more enterprises in the Region.
The region aims to build 20 smart factories and 30 digital workshops, and set up 100 industrial Internet application pilot demonstration projects and five industrial Internet demonstration bases by then.
Meanwhile, Ningxia will reduce the cost of enterprises' network use, and encourage cooperation between the basic telecommunications companies and the Internet companies to offer industrial Internet packages that meet different scenarios and needs. The region targets more than 50-percent reduction in the Internet data traffic tariffs of the industrial enterprises by 2020, according to the guideline. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
