BEIJING, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Haier Group was selected into Xinhua News Agency's National Brands Project in Beijing on Tuesday.
Under the project, Haier and Xinhua will carry out all-round cooperation in brand building and communication, especially in the research and promotion of "ecological brand".
As a large-scale enterprise group, Haier Group achieved a global turnover of 241.9 billion yuan (about 35.14 billion U.S. dollars) in 2017, and generated profits and taxes totaling 30 billion yuan (about 4.36 billion U.S. dollars).
Since 2005, Haier has been exploring management innovation featuring the Internet era.
In 2018, Haier creatively proposed the concept of "ecological brand" against the background of the Internet of Things, emphasizing the use of digital technology to deeply explore the dynamic needs of customers, and taking advantage of the third-party resources to provide all-round services for the customers.
In the era of Internet of Things, Haier Group and Xinhua News Agency jointly launched the research center for ecological brand, which will use Haier Group as the research object and the main body of innovation practice to jointly study the essential elements, scientific models and practical cases for the enterprises' eco-brand construction, said Zhou Yunjie, president of Haier Group.
Xinhua's National Brands Project was launched in June 2017, with the aim to further enhance brand influence of China's outstanding national enterprises mainly by its rich media resources. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
